Overview:

United Nations Industrial Development Organization, UNIDO launched two different competitions for the youth from around the world.

In order to ensure a bright future for inclusive and sustainable development, it is vital to facilitate a close collaboration with today’s youth. It is the young generation’s creativity, innovation and dedication that our future will be built upon. Therefore, as part of UNIDO’s 50th Anniversary celebration, we are pleased to announce UNIDO’s two international Youth competitions: the Time Capsule Competition and the Research Paper Competition.

The Time Capsule Competition:

UNIDO’s 50th Anniversary Time Capsule Competition is open to creative young people around the world (born between 1991 and 1998), who are interested in addressing the issue of sustainability for a more inclusive future.

Contestants  are required to submit a video message about their hopes, dreams and concerns with inclusive and sustainable industrial development.

The video, no longer than 60 seconds (related to the questions listed below), should be accompanied by a statement of up to 300 words outlining the ideas addressed in the video. All videos will be stored in a time capsule, which will be kept at the United Nations Headquarters in Vienna and be re-opened in November 2030.

  1. Hello. I am a Filipino student interested in the Time Capsule Competition. I have a question with regards to the video message that will be submitted. Will the video only feature the contestant talking about his insights or can it be an edited video with voice overs and occasional appearance of the contestant? Thank you in advance.
